Hair and Things

Christmas again whaAAT?? Time is flying so fast it's crazy. Christmas comes so fast I hardly have time to get excited for it! Ah. Well anyway, the reason for this post is mostly because I got my hair cut short and decided to share. It's never NEVER been short. (Except when I was little but that doesn't count.) I've always had it long. But since I had bleached it, (it's back dark now,) the ends were just breaking and if anything my hair was getting shorter. So I had to cut it. I was so so so scared, but I'm glad I did it becuase I LOVE it! It's not styled very well... it looks better when I straighten the ends in so it's not flipped out... but here's a picture anyway. And now it's healthy again so it can start growing long! Then I'll probly cut it again because I love it short so much. Thanks to my amazing talented gorgeous crazy awesome sister Taryn for cutting it! I love it.My hair looks better in this one. It's also longer- already! It's only been about two weeks! I can't believe how fast your hair can grow when it's healthy. I can't decide whether to let it just keep growing or cuz it again. The whole point was to get it to grow, but I love it short too! Ahh.
Anyway, this was taken at my hubby's Home Depot Christmas Party. I gotta say, I should have cut HIS hair before then... hahaha. If I knew they were doing pictures I would have. Oh well. It's a good picture anyway :)
Here's a picture of us at the Christmas parade on Main Street, downtown Safford. It was kind of a lameish parade, but we had a lot of fun anyway. It was fa-REEEEZING. That's why I look kind of like a sick Roudolf. Joe looks extra cute in that beanie though..

Joe Talks

Some talkiness from Joe's sleep that I've collected over the past few months :)

Joe: Half a tiller!
Me: What?
Joe: Half a tiller. But that wouldn't work....
Me: What's a tiller?
Joe: It's like a lawnmower but with spikes that dig up the ground...
Me: Oh yeah.
Joe: So, if you cut it in half.... you would have..... half a tiller....

Joe: Blue melted.
Me: Huh?
Joe: Melted.
Me: What melted?
Jpe: Blue.
Me: Blue?
Joe: Green.
Me: Green?
Joe: *nods*
Me: The green melted?
Joe: *nods*

Joe: That's why!
Me: What's why?
Joe: To be done.
Me: What?
Joe: Never mind. I explain it every night!

Joe: Brittany, do you have splinters? Do you have splinters in your boobs?
Me: Splinters in my boobs??
Joe: Yeah, do you have splinters in your boobs? Is that why you love me?

(And this was prayer time, the night before he went to plant some grass for my parents. He was also very very very tired.)

Joe: Our Father in heaven, we're thankful fr this day, ................
Me: Joe?
Joe: Thankful fr the....... food................. the food...................
Me: *smuggling laughter* Joe?
Joe: Help me drive safe tomorr....... 'n lookit the grass........... 'n do good.............. Namuh Jeeschrismen.

CALIFORNIA

This is a few weeks overdue but oh well. Better late than never right? Well we had a BLAST in California... Joe loved Disneyland :) he told me the other day randomly... "Disneyland was so magical." Tehe. Space Mountain was our favorite! The Tower of Terror at California Adventure I LOVE. But Joe very much did not. Haha.
Then we went to the beach. It was so nice! Not too crowded, kind of cold and windy, but not too bad. The water was nice once you got in.
Knott's Berry Farm was fun, but after being at Disneyland, it looked like the biggest trashland ever. There was junk everywhere. In the line for a ride, if you looked down in between the bushes and the railing, you could barely see the ground it was so littered with crap. It was nasty. But the rides were fun. Joe didn't like the dropping rides... he wasn't fond of the sick feeling you get in your stomach. He even blacked out for a second on the Silver Bullet haha. I even almost did on the Excelerator... it shot up and back down so fast I saw a tunnel. But it was fun! I love roller coasters. I just wish we would have gone to Knott's first, before Disneyland. It wasn't as fun because we just wanted to go back to Disneyland.
Here are some pictures. Mostly from Disneyland, and some from the beach.

On the Dumbo ride! Hehe.Trying to pull the sword out of the stone... Joe's favorite movie! The beach! <3

July already?

I wish I was better at writting on here. A lot has happened. Well, a lot is happening now. Summers are crazy, especially if you are a part of my family. Just to catch up... we moved out of apartment #4 into #1, which is SO much bigger... both the living room and the kitchen are bigger seperately than the whole living room/kitchen area in #4. And there's an extra bedroom for all our necessary crap... and maybe for another person eventually. Unless we move before that happens. But anyway, Joe's sister Summer and her hubby Joseph and baby Shane moved into #4 a couple months ago after we moved over into #1. It's been really fun hanging out with them. That Shane is just the most adorable thing. He's 9 months now I think... he's getting so big. I love him!
Also, my hair is blonde now. For REAL blonde. Summer did it for me a couple months ago... At first it was a really crazy change and I wasn't sure about it... but I'm used to it now and I like it. It's started to grow out... I've got to do something with it soon because it's going to start looking really bad because my hair is so dark naturally.
I got a job... well I started in... february I think. At my uncle Tracy Montierth's optometry office in Safford. The office attached to our apartment building. It's pretty nice cuz I just walk down the stairs and I'm there basically. It's boring though. I'm not really a desk-job person... But it's a job and I get money.
Tomorrow is July, and in July iiiiiis.... DISNEYLAND!!! I'm so so so excited! Joe has never been and we're gonna have FUN! We're also going to Knott's Berry Farm! I love that place. Joe's never been there either. He's never been anywhere. Also in July is a family reunion. I'm excited :) I'm excited I'm excited. July is gonna be awesome.
I think I covered most of what's happened lately. Oh yeah... we got turtles. Summer and Joseph and me and Joe. They named their's Venus de Milo, the girl ninja turtle, so we named ours Leonardo. Then I found out that Venus and Leo are like, lover ninja turtles. Bahaha. But their turtle kept getting out of the tub thing and got lost. They still havn't found it. It's probably rotting somewhere in their apartment... or walked off the balcony... Our turtle died yesterday :( I don't know what happened. I had just bought a new pan thing for water because the one in there got a hole in it somehow so the water just drained out into the dirt so it couldn't swim. I put the new one filled with water in the tub and put the turtle in it and he just floated.... it was so sad! Poor Leo. Oh also, Joe got promoted at Home Depot! (FINALLY!) Hooray :)

My blonde hair...Then I cut my bangs.

Dead Leo before he was dead...

Renaissance Festival

Yesterday Joe and I went to the Renaissance Festival! My legs and feets are sore from walking around so much. But it was really fun. Here are some pictures.

Joe was extremely excited, despite the look on his face.
Look at my cute husband. I lub him. Teehee.
Joe callenging a knight.
This magician guy was awesome. He just stood on that ball and did some really cool magic tricks. I liked his beak mask.
The turkey leg. Mmmmm....
That was our knight in the jousting tournament. The good guy. I wish I got a picture of his face... he was adorable. He looked like Martin Short. Haha.
The fairy. She was so cute!
This "funeral cart" rode by... they were playing music. It was awesome haha.
This little goat at the petting zoo was just staring at me so I took a picture. He's so cute!
These were our souvenir renaissance mugs. Cuz we have to get a mug everywhere we go. Isn't that the coolest mug ever? Joe thought it was boring so he got this giant one with the dragon and knight on it...

Twenty-Three

Last thursday (Jan 20th) was Joe's 23rd birthday. We had a little party at my parents' house.
His lemon cupcakes with lemon frosting.
Opening up his motorcycle cover.
His new UofA hat I found at Dollar General for 7 bucks.

TIKI!

My conversation with subconscious Joe last night.

Joe: OH!!
Me: What??
Joe: Mmmmm....
Me: What?
Joe: Tiki. (I thought he said Stinky cuz he kind of mumbled it.)
Me: What? Stinky?
Joe: Nooo... TIKI.
Me: Tiki?
Joe: Mmmm-hmmm.
Me: Where?

Then he started pointing to the wall. Guess I'll never know.

Cuddly Joe

Funny things happened the last couple nights. I havn't heard from subconcious Joe in a while so this was suprising and pretty hilarious. First one, two nights ago, he said: "There were hands that were ducks." Not sure what that was about. but the next one was way better! Last night, he rolled over to the edge of the bed, stuck his bottom out, mumbled something unintelligible, and farted LOUD. Then he said, "Yep." I was holding my breath so I wouldn't wake him up from laughing so hard! Then he grabbed the blanket, pulld it up around his head and cuddled with it. It was very cute... hehe.

Blonde

I've been fighting the internal battle over whether dying my hair blonde is a good thing to do or not for quite some time. The insane side finally won two days ago and this is what came of it.
It's more red than I wanted it to be. But other than that I like it. That and the fact that there's some spots that kind of got missed. Joe's the one that helped me do it and that was possibly a mistake... but I didn't want to tell my family until I visited them, so I didn't want my mom or my sister to help me do it. And I've never done it myself before so I needed help. He did a pretty good job though, the reason there's missed places is because we ran out of dye. But I'll need to dye it again in not too long because my roots are gonna start coming in and then it'll look horrible... so I'm not that worried about it. I'll just get two boxes next time I guess. I just wish it wasn't so red. That will probably fade though, red always fades really fast. I was also really scared that it wasn't gonna look good on me. But I like it. I'll always love my dark hair the best... but I like to try different things. You think it looks good? I might try it lighter sometime... it's not that light. It's more light reddish brown than blonde... Also I sometime want to try dying the under bottom half of my hair darker. Maybe. I've gotta try everything! It's really weird cuz I used to be so scared of dying my hair... now I love it! I love trying different things.

I got a dollar, I got a dollar. I got a dollar hey hey hey hey!

So I was sitting on my couch on my laptop, and suddenly there's this frantic knocking at the door. Right before I got to the door I heard "It's Sherry!" I was like, who the crap's Sherry? I opened it and there's a weird, really talkitive crazy lady asking if I owned a duck. I was like, "Uh, no..." I know, random! She said, "This crazy HUGE duck is just following me everywhere I go! I walk down the street and there's the duck just following me!" She made me come outside to look at it. And sure enough, there was a pretty gigantic duck at the bottom of the stairs. "See it? You see that duck?!" I'm pretty positive it was a goose. She talked a lot and really fast so I can't remember a lot of what she said. But she asked me if I knew anyone who owned a duck or if I knew where it lived. I was like, "Um, I have absolutely no idea! Please leave now!" I didn't say that last part but I was thinking it. She seemed just a teeny tiny bit on the tipsy side. Maybe she wasn't, but she was very laughy. The only place I could think of where there are geese is the park by the fair grounds. I suppose it could have waddled from there? That's a long way for a goose to wander though. She was like "What do I do?!" Pshhh haha I don't know! She asked if I wanted to take it and call animal control. I was like HECK NO! I don't want a goose in my house! And I don't want to call anyone... "Hello, I found a goose. I don't know whose it is but it's in my apartment. Come get it please!" I just told her we weren't allowed to have animals in the apartment. This is probly the only time I'll ever be glad to live in a 'no pets' apartment. She just kept saying "What do I do?!" and laughing a lot. It was quite amusing. Finally she just said "Well... I guess I'll just take it home.... figure out what to do...." Bahaha. So if you've lost a really big duck.... she's got it.

Merry Christmas!

I know this is late. I'm even out of order because Christmas was before our trip. But oh well. Anyway we had a good Christmas. When is Christmas not a good one? I got some SUPER CUTE shoes! From Joe. I picked them out... but I didn't get them till Christmas. I love them. Joe also got some shoes that he can wear to church, with a heel on them so I'm not taller than him :) haha. They're blue with black lace over them. I love them! And I love my Joe.
That's pretty much all I got for Christmas... except for some money from my parents and our own hotel room for two nights in San Antonio. Joe had something else in mind for me but he was never able to find it... he's still looking. I still don't know what it was.
Anyway, I don't have much else to say for now. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Lotsa Words, Lotsa Pichers.

If you are planning to go to Six Flags, and you're planning to go to the one in San Antonio, and you tell me you are excited, then I will say this: "Um, slow down there mister excitey pants. Don't go to San Antonio if you want to ride roller coasters." That's right, it was a dissapointment. There weren't very many rides anyway but only about 3 of them were open. Not to mention all the "technical difficulties" they were all having. Goliath was open (thank goodness) and two or three others... the Boomerang, which was fun, and the rocket thing that shoots you up one billion feet in the air. (Joe didn't like that one, hehe.) Twice we had to leave the line for a ride because of technical difficulties. It was very annoying. Buuuuuut, there WAS a ginormous 60 foot Christmas tree! So, if you say you're going to Six Flags in San Antonio, I will say that they have a super duper gigantuous Christmas tree that is awesomeness to look at.
I know this picture is blurry, but just look how big that tree is!
Other than the fun yet disapointing Six Flags, we did so many other things. Our hotel was right on the Riverwalk so we got to walk on it everywhere we went basically. The last two nights Joe and I stayed in a different hotel from the rest of my family which wasn't too far away. We would just walk through the Riverwalk. It was so pretty and the buildings and pathways were so old-timey.
My cute husband.Doesn't that just look awesome??This picture would be super cute if it wasn't so blurry... (Dad's a little camera retarded.)He's so sillyThis wasn't down on the Riverwalk but up on the street. I just think it looks super cool.
This is WAY out of order but oh well. You probly don't care. Anyway, we visited the Alamo. I usually, most often, always, never like museums and history type things... but this was really cool! I even wanted to buy a shirt at the Alamo gift shop. But it was almost 20 bucks and I'm poor and my Dad wouldn't buy it for me even though he said he wanted to. He was probly lying. Joe and I did get a mug though... We get mugs from all the places we go. We got a Six Flags mug too. It has all the Looney Tunes guys on it. We got one from Sea World and the San Diego Zoo when we went to San Diego last summer. Anyway here's us at the Alamo.
Some HUGE fish in the pond thing at the Alamo. They were like three feet long! Maybe not... but they were big. That one yellow one on the right looked like he got his face blown off in battle. Like he was rotting or something...
The first whole day we were there was the U of A game against Oklahoma State. We didn't do so well...
Joe is so silly.A cute pic of the girls. Just try to ignore Ron Weasley back there.I tried to get the field behind us but it didn't work. Oh well.

The last day we were there we visited this catholic cathedral. It was very strange... everyone was praying together... it was just strange. But on the outside it was huge and really pretty.
Random picture... there was this little tiny Chinese shop at the mall in San Antonio. Haha
